Threads of Tech Reviews: Kiyo
Everyone wants a personal stylist--with Kiyo you can have one in your pocket!
Kiyo: Your Intelligent Personal Stylist
If you've ever had a hard time figuring out your style, Kiyo is making it simple: turn your Pinterest boards into an AI personal stylist and get curated fashion you can shop from. Hiring a personal stylist is a luxury privilege, and Kiyo aims to expand that access to the world through AI.
How Kiyo Works:
You can upload outfits you love from your gallery or Pinterest board
Kiyo creates a personalized style brief which resembles a horoscope reading
You get recommendations through a daily drop and can swipe like or dislike like a dating app for clothing. The AI learns from your interactions and will increasingly give you better drops
You can also view your liked items for future reference or purchase
Pros:
Super easy to connect your existing Pinterest boards
The clothing recommendations are a diverse selection of brands at various price points
Daily drops are customizable by asking for specific requests
The gamification from daily drops and streaks encourage regular engagement
Cons:
The current like/dislike system has limited feedback options
It's unclear how well Kiyo can handle nuances in feedback such as button preferences, color variations, or hem lengths
Overall, we are so excited to see how Kiyo continues to iterate and really become the personal stylist in your pocket.
